Default Lt80 exhaust

Hello, i am new to the site. I have a 2000 lt80 i am trying to juice up for my son. I was wondering if there are any other exhaust systems being made still, other than dg, fmf. I would love to get a trinity pipe but can not find one. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also does lt80 still do engine mods for these things? Would love to get ahold of him and get some pricing.

Hi & welcome to the forum!!

There are a couple of us that have done lots to these little machines! If you poke around Jack (LT80) often says the early year pipes ('87 & '88) are good for 12+k RPM...significantly higher than a stock motor. I think CT still makes them, but I stuck with stock on my build since it was a good year.

With your current pipe I'd ensure the restrictor is removed (header section) and that the bolt on the bottom of the silencer is removed. Usually they are, but I'd check anyway.

Jack still does his magic and was the one I turned too for my boy's build (avatar). His porting and attention to detail are top notch...better yet will be the look on your kid's face after they feel that "Moore" power!

Does it hurt to run these without the exhaust gasket at the head. I used sealant but it now seems to leak. Where can I get one?

It only hurts power output...most 2 strokes run a tuned pipe that requires some level of back pressure to enhance scavenging...dealer or Ebay will have them...

Just got back from a week out with the grand kids, They love there bikes now that Jack reworked them. He had done one for us before, the Twins started to fight over which bike they would ride. I had Jack do the other one now and they love them. They follow us threw the dunes with know trouble at all. Jack Moore is great. Any buddy wondering, give Jack Moore a call. You won't be sorry. God bless,
Chet
