I bought a Battery Tender and the plug on it fits the rear accessory plug on my SP 500. The machine plug is hot with the key off, so it must be connected directly to the battery. Can I plug the Battery Tender to this outlet or is there a chance of harming any breakers or circuits? One Polaris dealer says yes and the other no. Any Techs out there?

I used the one on my 99 Xplorer and it worked fine.

If you want, put the one out of the box directly on the battery and use it instead. I have it that way on the 95 Scrambler.

rennym,

Did You check with Your dealer to see if this would work, or did You just try it?
