Check out a couple Intercooled EFI/Turbo DS650 pics on my web page. I did a click-n-build to get some pics up ASAP, so excuse the poor web site layout for now.

I love the pictures!

I noticed that the intake is placed forward. Does this create a problem with water and mud?

What other mods are needed to support the Turbo?

What are the end results in performance?

Finally, what's the end cost?

Thanks,

Joseph

There are no mods to the motor, just HD clutch springs. The cost with EFI is around the cost of the DS. Without EFI you could build a kit for a couple thousand. Power gain with an intercooler may be around double or slightly more at very high boost.

Hey scooby!!! I am going to turbo my raptor and I need all the info on turbocharging you can give me. Where did you get the turbo? did it come with an intercooler or did you have to jimmy-rig one on there? will it work on an MX track w/o hurting the turbo? does yours have a blow-off valve? is the boost ajustable? is the boost ajusted by the amount of throttle you give it? can the turbo be turned off completely? who did your ducting and the exhaust? what does VATN stand for? Do I have to use EFI? will it hurt if I don't use EFI? What kinds of speeds are you running? will it hurt mine if I don't have an intercooler? how much boost should I run? will it break the 100MPH barrier?....not that I'd ever go there....just cool to say that your quad will outrun most sports cars!! I was thinking about buying the Mr. Turbo Turbocharging kit but it doesn't come w/ blow-off valves or and intercooler....this worries me. I'm new to turbocharging so excuse me for all the questions. Is yours a Mr. Turbo turbocharger?
