is the 2002 sportsman 700 atv engine same as the Polaris frontier snowmobile 4 stroke

 

Same basic engine,but there will be some differences between how they hook up to either the sled or the atv.Plus it has a recoil star like the old Polaris MV7.Here's some more on the sled 700. thanks for the reply I picked up a 2002 sportsman the previous owner was trying to install a new
2002 frontier snowmobile engine in it and just gave up, the old eng just need rings I my bore it out
with new valves and reuse it, ill see how bad the frontier motor fits

 

Can't speak for the sled engine,but the 700 atv had plated cylinders,coudn't bore them out. I assume the sled engine's the same.
