Default 2017 Polaris Sportsman 450 Spark plug

Sounds stupid but where the heck is the spark plug in this machine? Won’t start, pretty sure it’s the spark plug. Lots of YouTube videos on the 2016 but the 2017 sportsman 450 engine is different! Anybody change one on a 2017?

I don't know, but simple things like that should be in the owner's manual.

That's odd. The manual for my 500 has a page and a half about spark plugs in the maintenance section, plus the specifications in the back of the manual tells you what plug to use, and what the gap is. I can get to my spark plug when I take the right side panel off. Maybe you have to pull the side panels off to see yours.

Is your 500 a 2017? Maybe it’s the same.

Mine is a 2008 with a Fuji 500. It's in my signature below. Yours is a detuned ProStar 500, so they're totally different engines. BTW yours puts out 33 HP according to Polaris and mine is somewhere between 36 and 38 HP, depending on where you get the numbers from.

Easier to get to looks like than the left plug on the old 800 engine. Under the seat behind the oil fill cap.

That’s where it is up to 2016. 2017 engines changed.
