Default Convert pull start to kick start?

I hate pull starting my equipment, but I especially do not prefer it on my atv. I want to swap out the pull start on my 1992 Polaris Trail Boss 250 with a kick start. Has anyone ever done anything similar? Anyone got any leads, any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know if that's ever been done. I never heard of it. I would just use the electric start.

First time I've ever heard that question before. You find one let us all know but I wouldn't waste too much of your time in doing so. Either use the pull starter or if the electric starter doesn't work, there are plenty of cheap ones on ebay, amazon or here.I'd replace the bendix also as it's easy when you pull the starter out. https://www.dbelectrical.com/starter...v/polaris/250/

I searched for atv kickstart conversions and the first 2 things I came up with were:
1. Over 20 parts were needed for a certain Honda.
2. It cost over $200 for one guy to convert a KTM.

Those new starters sound like a good idea now don't they?

Started thinking about the old Suzuki 185s that had a Goki add on starters to replace the recoil start. I had a couple of these contraptions come in over the years.Worked ok,but noisy. Last one I've read about was about 12 years ago on trx450r. Don't think Goki is even around anymore, but kinda interesting looking at their kits.GOKI Electric Starter Kit: Off-Road.com
