Even if it is just one small part of the military, it's better than no military families getting the help they need. Sometimes it's up to the spouses to raise money any way they can.

When I was stationed in Germany, once a month on payday, the NCO's wives got together and grilled up a bunch Nuremberg bratwurst. I bought that instead of eating for free in the mess hall many times. They're skinny bratwurst and they put 2 on a roll, but 3 is the more traditional way. Tell me this doesn't look good.
