Default 08 sportsman 500 HO clutch issue

Hello everyone, I sure could use some advise on my secondary clutch. When I removed the cover the secondary clutch was stuck closed. I removed the secondary and took it apart and found all three button screws had broken off and two of them are broken inside the clutch casting. They look to small to try and drill and use a easy out on them. The ramp com has some gouging on it has well has the clutch were the buttons were. The biggest question I have is the secondary junk or can it be rebuilt? I saw the new ones are around $480, I see used ones on ebay for $100. Has anyone experienced this kind of damage. 2008 sportsman 500 ho

welcome to the forum. in my opinion, you should go buy a used one from another machine as your helix is junk as well as the sheave ramps by the looks. make sure to get another one that is the same as you have so no issues with having use different springs, helix

Thanks Stendori, that the same thing I was thinking. $480 is pretty steep for a clutch on a toy

your welcome. as I mentioned, when you buy a used one(some will fit different models) make sure to research that they will interchange. keep your old set up for parts. ggod luck
