Default Polaris Sportsman 500 fan not operating

I believe I have a 2004.5 sportsman 500 ho. It overheats & fan doesn’t run. Fan is operational when jumpers off of battery. I do not have the sensor in the radiator. My machine is overheating, coolant will boil out of overflow. I have 12 volts at plug for fan until I plug fan in, it goes to Zero. I do not have breakers in bags on this machine, I do not see any breakers in wiring loom by battery. It does not fall under ecm recall. I’m obviously getting a voltage bleed down when circuit is put under load, any help of where to look next would be appreciated. I also tried to run fan off key switch on, just to be able to use while I figure this out, as soon as you run with fan unplugged it says engine is hot.

make sure the radiator is not plugged with mud as well. there were a lot of bikes that had a fan issue that ended up being that sensor you mentioned. some were just wiring the fan direct or to a toggle switch. check for a bad sensor first.

Did you get the ECM replaced free as part of the recall? Safety Recall - ATV Multiple Models - Revised and Expanded ECM Fire Hazard Bulletin | Polaris Industries
