#1
I've been shopping around for my first atv.I looked at many but for some reason I like the sp500. Can anyone help me out with which atv is the best out right now.And the pros and cons between the different machines.

well, i can't help you out alot, but i will tell you what i know. i, myself have been considering a new atv. actually i am buying one, but its a matter of what i am buying. after reading through numerous postings on here about polaris', i made up my mind. i was considering a scrambler back in march, but i couldn't afford one. now that i can afford a new atv, the scrambler 400 is defintely my choice. where else can you get a 2 stroke with electric start, reverse, and 4x4 for around $5000.00? you can't. and the other good thing is that my girlfriend will be able to ride it as well beacause of the atuo trans. i personally like two strokes, able to do more mods. to them, and they are snappier. i guess your needs are a bit different. i have heard nothing but good things about the sportsman. i hear that the sportsman has as much power as the 600 grizzly. also the polaris true awd is the best out there. the only 4x4 that has true 4 wheel. i don't want to give false info, but from what i know, its the only 4x4 that has locking hubs and allows both front wheels to be engauged. whereas with others, you have a limited slip, so you actually have 3 wheel drive. i am kind of new to this site, but its been a big help in learning about the differences in atvs. i myself never owned a polaris, but i can't wait to get a scrambler. well good luck, i am sure you will get many replies on here, the people seem to very helpful. and good luck with your new machine, whatever you end up buying, let us know how you make out.

Polaris does have an awesume 4x4 system. In my opionion,it's the best around. The King Quad by Susuki can also LOCK the front end as well, giving you true 4x4 action.I owned the KQ and after riding my big 500CC Sportsman 4x4,the KQ feels like a mini bike.Understand that NO quad does EVERYTHING the best. You need to purchase the one that will feel like the right one for you.Nobody really makes a bad quad.Polaris seems to have more extras than the other manufactures though.Good Luck on whichever model you choose.---BILL
