Polaris Outlaw 50 modifications for power
#1
Hello,
Recently bought my son a 2016 Polaris Outlaw 50. He's ridden my nieces Polaris scrambler 50 and loved it and with his bday coming up in 2 months I thought this would be a great thing for him to have. It rides fine, it's essentially new the people who bought it before lived in an apartment in a city and the thing still has the paint on the tires.
Anyway, it moves fine for him as is but I know once he adjusts it won't be quite up to what he wants/needs. I don't need a race atv here but after a lot of searching I can't seem to find much info on modifications on the newer versions of these.
CDI boxes, changing sprockets, messing with the baffles, etc. Am I just searching for the wrong things? Anyone with any information?
I really appreciate it. Got a great deal on this thing and I know my son will love it I just want to make sure it works for him for a few years.
Thanks

By the time his skills have improved to the point of going faster he will need a bigger machine. Save your mod money to move him into a 90 when the time comes. The 50 will sell much easier stock than if it has been modified....

I appreciate the thought but this thing goes 12mph and he's use to my nieces Scrambler 50. I realize it's 2 stroke and hits 20mph and he doesn't need that kinda of speed but 12 is slow and this thing has no real torque. I know the differences in the two models I'm just trying to bring it a little closer to that. He's no where near ready for a 90 but this is like driving a power wheels around.
