This is really starting to bother me. When atc/atving first started they where just ridgit frames with small 2 valve 4 stroke motors, now we have 660cc machines (probably soon to be 700cc+),These machines have electric start annd full suspention. Now we have machines with fuel injection and hydraulic transmissions. The cost is going up too, Sure they ride nice but when they break your paying hundreds of $$$ for parts. I wish they would just keep it simple to save us people some money.. and time.

"keep'n it simple" would restrict us who want more. keeping it simple would only limit us from what we enjoy. SPEED, POWER, and TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT. These advancements allow us to explore what the maximum capabilities of our machines have.

I do agree with you when stating that it is getting expensive. But, if you have to love and passion for it, money ain't no thang!

Money may not be a thing to you bro You sound like a single guy with no kids. Spending 4 jor 5 hundred on your ATV may not be a big deal to you, but it takes me at least a year to save that much. Im with you EX_Master keep it simple and cheap.

If you would look you would see they have kept it imple. There are some very simple cheap/affordable quads in production today. And then there are the very expensive high performance quads also.So if you dont want to go expensive then you dont have to. Just buy and ride whatever you can afford.I think it is great that we are advancing so much with the technology we are putting into these machines. But if you dont want all this technology then just go for whatever floats your boat. Stick to your trx125 and have fun!

If they had that idea with snowmobiles we would still be bouncing down the trail on boggie wheels and hoping the sled will not over heat and shake apart.
Even the simple atvs with full time 4wd, air cooled engines and drum brakes cost alot now.

You want to complain about prices? Talk to the govt and the blood sucking lawyers. Take a quick look at what happened to quad prices between 1986 and 1990 - Then look at the differences in the quads (none).
