Well I have finally had it with the Superwinch on my 99 Big Bear! The stock handle bar mounted rocker switch is a piece of ****! I have gone through 3 of them in the past year, the last 2 cost me $50 a pop. Jesus can they make a decent switch to run these things??? The winch itself is fine but the switch is both poorly designed and of extreemly weak construction. Anyone know of an aftermarket switch that is available for these things?

Sorry to hear that man. Really sorry because i just got my superwinch delivered today. Some guys on the honda forum are talking about the same thing. They have some suggestions about different switches to get. I think from cycle country. The post is recent so you shouldn't have to hunt for it. If you hear about a better switch let me know....i'll probably need one.

Most people that buy Superwinches end up totally pissed off. They are nothing but paperweights with a cable on them. You can also use them to hold down the lid on your garbage cans on windy days.

Go to your local farm supply store and get you a rocker switch for a couple of bucks, five at most. Works great! I used that setup for a year on my Wolverine without any problems. My Big Bear came with a Warn 2000 lb. Although I never had any complaints about the Superwinch, other than the switch, I have to say I like the Warn better. It is faster, has more power and a better switch.
