Hey guys new to the group. Does anyone have a picture of the wiring for the battery on a 2001 honda recon 250? ATV was wrecked and battery and all came out. Now I'm not 100% sure how to wire it up. There's 2 small wires I'm not sure about. One black and one green. New to working on ATV's, but wanted to do the work myself. Thanks in advance for any help!

 

Do you have the owner's manual? If so have you checked it for any related wiring schematics? If not, I have a 1999 honda recon 250 that most likely has similar wiring to your 2001 recon that I can take a picture of. And those two small wires, one black, and one green, those are most likely for the DC cigarette lighter towards the front of the vehicle under the handlebar and are not necessary for operation. Just make sure you connect the black- and red+ cables to the battery.

 

Lock2000 I dont have a manual, but gonna look into getting one. Any pictures you could take would help. Thanks in advance!
