05 Outlander 400HO Starting Issues - No Spark
#1
Hey everyone, I'm new to the site and looking for some help diagnosing an issue with my 4-wheeler.
I was plowing snow for the first time with the new plow installed at the local shop, when the the engine died "slowly" over a few seconds. Still had power to the lights, gauges, and starter. Turned over but wouldn't start.
Steps I've Completed:
1. Shot of starting fluid to see if it was fuel or spark related. (No change, so pointed to spark)
2. Checked for spark at the plug. (No spark, replaced the plug and still no spark)
3. Tested with multimeter at coil mounted to frame for power input (No power on the small wire)
From what I understand, this could indicate a coil or stator has gone bad. How do I test this, and in what order? Also, I'm not seeing any videos on changing either of these out, feel free to point me in the right direction if you know where they are.
Thanks again,
Mark
