Default Buying aracing quad

Hello

Im interested in buying another quad to do some xc racing here in CO.

I have pretty much narrowed my choices down to the TRX450 and the YFZ450.

I would like to hear from people who have owned/raced bot.

Does one handle better than the other?
Does one make more low end power than the other?

much appreciated.

DK

I haven't personally owned both but if you're price conscious I would go with the yfz450r as it doesn't need as much modification to be competitive. If price isn't an issue though, I would go with the trx450r as it performs a little better when completely built out.

I've raced both. I'd buy either one.
Look for a built one for sale.

Sorry I came late to this post been busy. yfx 450s stock come wider (wider A arms) than trx 450s and have a couple mph higher top speed so if your looking to not do any work, maybe a yfz 450. However Trx 450s are reliable and I love mine. Mine is built with a bigger cam, full fmf exhaust, bigger jets ect but I have beat 700cc quads with a highly experienced rider in an official drag race before and I actually prefer the narrower a-arms for trails because its still plenty stable on corners but you could always get wider arms for fairly cheap.
