I am interested to know if there is a bigger and better box for the DS. I herd that there was one that included the battery. Is this true? Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Joseph

Joseph, i have an aluminum air box from Pingrys it holds the battery and all of your electrical components. They also offer an adapter ring that allows you to use a Honda 250r K&N air filter.

If your intrested, I just finished some dyno testing and found a 3.5HP difference from stock air box to a filter directly on the carb. I just thought I'd share that with everyone.

Knutz,

A couple of questions, will the filter fit on the stock carb, what is the part number, who makes it, and is there enough room to fit the filter without crushing it?

K&N filter #SN-2550 fits on the carb with no crushing involved. It is best if you remove the 2 snorkel tubes that lead from the air box though, as that will free up some room and improve the air flow to the filter.

Knutz,

Do you think I would see the same 3.5 HP improvement by moving the air cleaner directly to the carb on a DS with only a slip on pipe and carb rejetting? I was almost to order the K&N to fit in the stock air box but maybe I should get the direct to carb set up instead.

That 3.5 HP gain was on a DS with nothing but a pipe, jetting, and an ignition box on it. I lost 2 HP on mine when trying a K&N filter in the box instead of my SN-2550 filter on the carb.

Sound great. Please advise what site to go see it.

What was the cost if you don't mind saying?

Thanks,

Joseph
