I have the same setup as Knutz and he is correct. I noticed an immediate gain w/ the clamp-on K&N.
Remove the snorkles and cap the inlets and discharge on the airbox. It now makes a great storage compartment for tools, etc.
I'm running a Big Gun complete system, Ron Wood CDI and 17 / 37 sprockets.

No, I don't have the Ron Wood carb. The filter is on the stock carb.
The K&N filter number is SN2550.
I recommend you try this before you spend the $$ on another carb.

Don't forget to increase your pilot jet, add the dynojet richer jet needle and go up in main jet. A stock DS is lean on the lowend. With all these changes, your jetting will not be set for maximum power.

Are you guys positive of that SN-2550 K&N part number? I don't see a listing for that number on the K&N website in the universal filter section, they show a RU-2550. Is that number for another specific application maybe?

Yes this is the correct number..
The filter was orginally developed for a snowmobile.
K&N confirmed the number when I ordered it.
This is the same filter Ron Wood sells for the stock setup.
Don't forget to order the outerwear. Sorry, I don't have that number handy but K&N will know.
