Hello friends,
Looking to buy my first atv and cant decide between these two:
1.arctic cat alterra 300 2018 very good condition
2.can am outlander 400 2014 had a top engine treatment (i dont really know what its means)

What would you buy

Not sure on the Alterra but I think it's 2wd. The Outlander is a 4wd. Not sure what a top end treatment is either. Could be anything from a cleaning to a rebuilt top end. I'd ask to see the receipt for the work to see what the seller is talking about. Mileage is a better indicator. I guess, if both are running well, I would determine what I wanted based on the trail conditions. If there are mud holes a 4wd gives you a better chance of getting through. Also, you can get through deeper snow with a 4wd. If it's just hard packed trails a 2wd would be fine. The Outlander 400 would also be a good deal more powerful than the Alterra 300.
