Used 110cc taotao problems
#1
I just got a used 110cc taotao that has been sitting for a few years. I was getting zero power anywhere til I replaced the key ignition and now I get the neutral light on.
I cant get it to crank with the button ignition. If i jump the starter relay the starter cranks but i get nothing with the ignition button.
I have replaced the starter relay, battery, key ignition.
Thanks for yalls help

On most quads there is a lock-out so either the brake light has to be on, or the gearshift (if fitted) has to be in neutral, before the starter will work. Even if you are doing this, the switches for them may have corroded so check this first. As you are getting the neutral light, that switch is OK but wire between switch and starter solenoid may not be. Some kids quads also have a remote, this can go bad and interrupt the starter circuit as well. It may just be the starter button corroded after the lay up. Best way is to follow the thin wires back from the solenoid, checking as you go, one should be pos with ignition on and start button pressed, the other negative, one will be, so the other is the faulty wire, trace it back to the fault.
