Default Engine mods for my 230.

Hello everyone,

Due to my current options for riding (spark arrester required) I have decided to keep my 230 pretty much stock. I do want to pull whatever extra power I can while keeping the original exhaust. (I do have an aftermarket RCM exhaust)

If I keep the stock exhaust should I still mod the intake? Would it be worth putting in just a hotter cam?

Is there a woods legal aftermarket pipe for an '87 230? I can't find one.

What other options might there be?

Or, should I just scrap the engine mods and put money into the suspension? Pretty much just riding eastern and midwest trail anyway.

Thanks.

I did a lot to my 230 but the biggest power gain was i added a 30mm nibbi racing carb & pipe it really woke it up almost twice the power now ... But I've done head work cam & upped compression with the piston i put in this time last year
