Found a quad on an Internet add, says NEW, 0 MILES. NEVER RUN. 2017.
Add title says Kawasaki KSF 250 MOJAVE but it doesn't say Mojave anywhere. Talked to the dealer that has it, says he bought a bunch of bikes from a dealer that closed shop. Just never got sold. He also says it's not in running order, as it hasn't even been started in a long time. We agreed he's going to change the oil, change gas and put it in working order. Will be looking at it next Saturday.
First of all, i don't see any of those models for sale younger than let's say 2004. Can it be new and 16 years old?? Pictures show quad in new condition.
2nd of all are they any good for an 11 year old that has a few years experience on a Polaris Predator 90? We live on a farm so only offroading.
anything else i need to look at?
thanks, Dennis
Get the VIN number. Most quads have the year model on a sticker somewhere, long time since I worked on Kawasakis so I can't remember where the date sticker or VIN is. Tenth number or letter of vin code is date of manufacture, from 2000 to 2009 it was the year so 6 = 2006. Chain drive bikes are not ideal for farms though, which is why all utility bikes are shaft drive.
