Default 2006 polaris EFI


Hey guys I have a 2006 sportsman 500..new battery new solenoid when I turn the key the headlight comes on and the speedo blinks i also hear a sound that sounds like a fuel pump. When I turn the key to start I get nothing if I jump the solenoid the engine turns over but no spark . I have power to the cdi going in and coming out and also to the on off switch which is also new...can someone please help .

By "on/off" switch, do you mean the key, or the left hand kill switch? I had a no power issue with mine, and turned out to be the kill switch. If you know someone with a similar running machine, you could swap it to see if that is an issue.
Also, check the throttle cable safety switch. Open up the little cover by the throttle lever. I forget exactly what it looks like in there, but there are some points that close, and shut the machine off. A quick youtube should pull up a good video.

Hi , I am referring to the on off switch on the left handle bar or the kill switch..I purchased a new one and i have power there and it seems to work fine.. but I willbtrwill try the throttle cable safety and see if that may be the issue.

I removed the cover and the gap is fine it doesn't seem like that is the issue.
