Default 1999 Polaris sportsman 500 for $3,850. Do I buy?

This is for my son, just under 1000 miles, looks in very good shape. Below is the description:

1 owner, 942 miles. Runs excellent, always starts. Has moose county plow and Warn winch. Tires are still like new. Plastics are a bit faded and could use a bath from being parked in the shed. The seat is perfect. A good solid machine. Automatic and 4 wheel drive.

Looks like a good deal with a decent plow. Only concern is size, my son is about 5'10" and weights about 235. Big kid, and seems to me this is an undersized ATV. Mainly will be used for plowing in Wisconsin and maybe 10-12 yearly trail rides.

Same site has it valued at $2400 down here. Crazy stuff.

But yeah, way overpriced at $3800.

Sounds like a good machine, the Sportsman 500 is a great quad. But $3800 is way too much for that. Its tax time, people purposely inflate prices of everything now because they know that extra tax money is burning a hole in their pocket. Its over 20 years old. Granted its probably mechanically as good as a 5 year old machine but you can't price it the same as one. I think $2000-$2500 would be a fair price as well.
