97 king quad 300
#1
I have a 97 king quad 300, it will start, idle high, then die then I have to wait almost ten minutes before it will start again. I know it’s getting to much fuel, but carb was rebuild and clean by dealer, and new petcok valve put on, all vent hoses and everything are clear and in good shape. Any ideas ?

Fit a new plug and check for a spark when the fault is on. If there is, even though it is a new petcock, check it, make sure it isn't leaking fuel down the vac pipe and that fuel only comes through with engine running, when on Run and Res. Check the carb again, dealers can mess up. I once had an Eiger where the outer choke cable had stretched due to rust, putting the choke partly on all the time, so check the choke works properly. If there isn't a spark, probably stator/trigger coil as they get hot soonest, but can be coil or CDI. Do the ignition tests while the fault is on.

Ok it ran great all night no issues at all now today at 1/4 throttle applied steadily it pops a tiny bit through air tube for some reason I checked plug and it’s black around plug and barely grayish on electrode ?
