I have a 1987 trail boss 250 and I was wondering if anyone knows if you screw the dipstick back in when checking transmission fluid level. Clymer manual says you don't but it also says it holds a half quart of fluid. If you just hold it against the threads you are going to be putting in a lot more than 1/2 quart.
