Default Trail Boss Trans Fluid

What can I use instead of Polaris brand trans fluid in my '05 330 Trail Boss? There isn't a Polaris dealer close to me.

Use good synthetic motor oil.

I use Castrol Syntec 5w50.

You asked and you got the correct info.

No more need to "bump"

Well, sir, I have received conflicting advice on different boards, so I thought I would see if anyone else had something to add. That's why I bumped it.

I have used ATF synthetic for automatic tansmissions and it has worked fine in my trailboss , i change all my fluids after 25 hours of riding time and that includes oil filter , tranny and grease all bearings , never had a problem in 6 years with the same polaris.
Just look into a good brand name synthetic automatic transmission fluid when deciding.
Good Luck.

First off just where did he ask for info on an automatic trans?

He asked for info on what fluid to put in his trail boss trans.

Polaris or NO mechanics that works on Polaris reccomend ATF in a TB trans.

He can either use the expensive fluid Polaris sells or he can use good synthetic motor oil which is both better for the job and cheaper.

He can take the advice of someone that does this for a living or a 13 year old. The choice is his.

I didnt have to ask him if it was for an automatic , because he stated he needed it for a trailboss and they only came in fully automatic.

Lmao.
