1997 Polaris Xplorer
#1
Good morning, I am new to the forum and have a question regarding the timing chain tensioner on my 1997 Xplorer 500 4x4.
I replaced the camshaft which was quite worn on the exhaust lobe and upon reassembling I installed the timing chain tensioner without removing the bolt and spring so the plunger was all the way out. I quickly realized what I had done and removed it and reinstalled correctly. I don't want to go any further with the reassembly until I find out if I might have damaged anything that should be replaced or looked at. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
