Sportsman 500 HO Shift Box/Linkage Rods

We can not get into any gear. 2001 HO could it have possibly broken the back transmission gears?

Get it fixed? Mine got stuck in reverse, knocked it out of reverse with a small hammer, now only gets neutral and Hi, replaced shifter, issue is the same.
