Hi. I'm trying to figure out why my quad won't start or idle with out holding the throttle open? If i let the trottle go, it dies right out. This is with a new carb from amazon. The old one was corroded and cake with junk.i have tried adjusting the pilot and idle screw, still no luck.

 

Idle speed needs to be set using the idle speed adjuster, high enough to keep running but low enough not to drag the bike forwards at idle, when in gear, If it won't run at this speed, the slow running mixture screw needs adjustment, to the highest speed it will go, too far open and revs drop, to far closed and revs drop. Once set, adjust idle speed adjuster again. If it won't set properly, your carb may have the wrong jets installed, try fitting the old jets.
