Default Quicktap Battery Posts for Sportsman 570 and 450

Hi, guys and gals. It's been a really long time since I checked in, and I don't plan on hanging around. I just can't find the time to be on more than one forum and that one's practically dead or I couldn't keep up. I just wanted to let everyone know about the Quicktap Battery Posts, Part 2882110, on clearance sale for 25% off. I had to jump-start my 570SP this past winter and it seemed like it was taking forever to get the battery tilted to the right so I could take the cover off the top. It was so late, I ended up not not getting my NOCO Genius booster on it until the next day. So when I saw this Polaris battery post relocation kit, I snatched one up. You hook the 2 cables to a busbar under the front cover in the middle of the cargo box, and drill 2 holes in the left side of the cargo box where it curves back from the center. Put the 2 bolts trough, put 2 nuts on, connect the cables with 2 more nuts, and connect the other end of them to the busbar. It your quad is like mine, there are already a bunch of accessory wires on there, and it will be hard to get the cables on. There just isn't enough length threaded to hook up every accessory Polaris makes, and half of them is a crowd. this is for all the 450s and 570s with the battery on the bottom of the frame, before they started putting a power port on them. I ended up dropping the nuts on the ground several times. They usually ended up somewhere in the frame or around the radiator, but sometimes they fell clean through. Most people won't have that problem.

This is designed to fit:

Since it's a clearance sale, you should hurry if you want one of these. Clearance $44.99 USD. $59.99 USD. That's all folks. I have a 4-day weekend up north with my friend next weekend, and his birthday is the week after that, so we'll be celebrating it while we're at his cabin. I finally got a new tent and sleeping bag and tried them out for a week and a half for the 4th of July. A couple of years ago they caught me and a bear on a game cam within 5 minutes of each other. It walked right by my tent when I was in it, and I never heard a thing. Sneaky ********. That's why I use protection when I go to bed, and it's not a condom0. Have fun, and take care of each other. Bye!

Frank

I had to use my 1,000amp NOCO GB40 Boost Plus to start the quad once over the 5-day weekend. The 4 year old battery is getting weak, so I carried the battery booster with me on the ride. This battery won't last 10 years like the maintenance free battery that came with my last Sportsman 500 H.O., but it may last through the winter. It was SO MUCH easier to hook the cables onto the remote battery posts than to try hooking onto the battery itself.

If I was going to buy another battery booster I'd get the 1,500 amp NOCO GB50 Boost XL. My GB40 wasn't made to handle anything quite as large as the 6.2 liter engine in my Yukon Denali, but the GB50 is designed for gas engines up to 7 liters and diesel engines up to 4.5 liters. Mine is only for gas engines up to 6 liters and diesel engines up to 3 liters, but would work better with a maximum 5.0 - 5.7 liter gas engine, IMO. I could jump the 4.8 liter in my last Silverado 4x4 2 or 3 times on a single charge. The Boost’s lithium-ion technology is built to jump start 12-volt batteries and outperform traditional lead-acid battery booster packs at a fraction of the size and weight. They're 8x smaller and 8x lighter, but have 15% more power. You can store one in a center console, trunk, or toolbox. I keep mine in the center console next to a first aid kit. The first aid kit is actually a lot bigger than the NOCO Boost.

Maybe I'll drop in again sometime, but I just don't seem to have a lot of time to spend on forums. I've been away more than I've been home, lately. That's what happens when you take 3, 4, and 5 day weekends off to ride and go camping, week after week, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Bye, guys.
