KLF300s use a car style ignitor rather than CDI. Power from ignition switch is fed to a 12v coil and the ignitor box. A two wire trigger coil is outside the flywheel and sends a pulse once a rev to the ignitor, which processes it and sends a neg pulse to ignition coil, which then produces a spark. Check the pulse coil is not earthed and has some resistance, check it produces a small AC voltage when engine is spun. Check earth lead to ignitor is earthed, and pos wire is pos with ignition on. it doesn't have a kill wire, the kill switch is in the pos wire from ignition switch, so cuts the pos power when you switch to kill.
