Hi,
I'm getting a ds pretty soon and would like my ds to get ultimate traction.I narrowed it down to 2 tires that I'm considering they are the 6-ply razrs and the 6-ply itp holeshots.I have a couple of questions about both of them?

1.Which one is more reliable?

2.Which one has better traction?

3.Which one is a better powerslider ?

Thanks,
Dan

I went with the Holeshots I love them on my LT500R. A friend of mine races them in the desert and he love them. My DS is down now doing end of season preventive maintenance. I have just added TCS shock, TimmyBoy A-arms, Ron wood CDI box and my new Custom-X muffler should be here today or tomorrow. I still have to due the finale adjustments to the A-arms this week.

I have the ITP Holeshot XCT's, 22 inch rears and 23 inch fronts and love them. My brother has the same size Razers on his DS and he loves them also. Both have great traction and power slide very well, "just need to lean a little more" than you do with the stock tires. I suggest to just flip a coin.

00 DS
22 rear and 23 front Holeshot XCT's
Ron Woods pipe, muffler and CDI box

The XCT's are awesome. They also give you a little more ground clearance.

Since they are pretty close, buy which ever one costs you less. I found mine for what I believe is a very good price from OMF - about $700 out the door with a full set of .190 rims with re-enforcing rings to keep my wheels perfect. Which ever tires you get - they'll make your DS look a lot better.

Has anybody tried the Pure Sports tires (23" front and 22" rears) that were used on the Baja winning DS? If so, what are they like?

You live in Vegas, so my tire selection isn't for you. I went with 21' Mud Sharks. Great all around traction, in mud, loose dirt & snow. I still have my stockers for power slide playing. But the Sharks are the main mode tire for me.

I have Razrs and like them a lot. They work great in dirt and hardpack, but if it gets muddy I throw in the Realtors. They have awesome staight line traction. I had Shredders on my old 400ex. They were also a very good tire. I never here anybody running them for some reason. Same $ as the others.
