My week was going along just as planned until Thursday. Thursday my plans were to play at a golf tournament in the morning and play softball that evening. We were sitting on about the 16th hole and my wife calls me and said that she is having bad labor pains and asked how much longer it would be. I told her we were almost done and I would be home in a little while. (My wife always has long labors and she wasn't due until the 19th). Her mom comes in the meantime and takes her to the hospital. I finish up golfing and head for the hospital. I get there about 2 minutes after she did. To make a long story short She ended up giving birth to our fourth child and first son!!! We are really happy about it all!! Everyone is healthy and doing great.
Saturday I went down to the Arctic Cat Dealer and bought my 2001 AC 400 4X4. It was an awesome experience. Matt, the general manager for Alpine RV in Lindon Utah, is just one of the best people I have ever had the experience in dealing with. My deal was a 01 AC 400 4X4 with a winch and hand warmers. Well, he told me he was out of his promotional winches. He also said that when Arctic Cat comes out with their promotional winch that he would allow me to get one then. So I was a little disappointed but I know I can get one later. So he asked if there was anything else that I wanted on my quad. I said sure. I bought two fender bags, rear rack bag, rear rack extension and then he threw in for free a set of shock covers, and a tank/saddle bag. All the accesories that I purchased at that time he knocked 20% off and I also get a 10% discount on all the stuff I buy in the future. I have never had the pleasure of dealing with someone as great as he was to me.
I just thought I would share my good news with everyone.

ttaylor,
Congratulations on your son! I know that all children are terrific, but for a guy there is just something about his first boy. Wow, what a great feeling. Now, congratulations on the new cat. That's a great feeling also. It really is great to be able to deal with someone (a dealer) who is really helpful. It makes the buying experience that more enjoyable. Welcome to the pride!

Just great...you have a child and I'm getting the third degree from my soon to be wife about the fact that I better not be playing golf when our first child is due to be born and that if I am there is no "finish the round". You are a lucky man to have children, a caring and UNDERSTANDING wife(just kiding Honey!), and a new CAT to go along. Enjoy your family and your toys. Good luck to ya too!

Hey man, Congrats on both your new boy, and your new 'Cat! It won't be long till he is wanting his own 'Cat himself, you guys will be out riding together. My boy will be 3 in September, yet he loves coming over to the house and going for a ride on "daddy's monster 'Cat". I know he's a little young at this point, but if AC is coming out with a little 90cc, you can bet that within another year or so, they'll be a "baby 'Cat" sitting next to my "monster 'Cat" out in the garage.

Best of luck to you and your family,

Mike

Congrats on the birth of your son. Hope your wife and the new one are doing well. I'll bet he's spoiled with 4 moms I know my fourth daughter sure is.

Any chance you're going on the club ride down to Bryce Canyon at the end of the month? Sounds like a great trip. I'm going down with my Father-In-Law so maybe we'll see ya there.

Thanks everyone. We are really excited about our new boy and our new toy. I just uploaded some pictures this morning of my new quad.
I tried not to make it sound like I told my wife to wait until I was finished. She is the one who told me to finish and that when I was done we would go over to the hospital. She has always had long labors 12-19 hours long. I have always been there for her and for the birth of each of our children.
I have been out this past week helping my wife with the kids so I haven't been able to respond to any posts.
I am not planning on attending the Bryce Ride. I would like to get the new quad broke in a little more before I hit an all day ride. I will go out on Saturday morning for a short ride up Spanish Fork Canyon. Anyone is welcome to come just let me know.
I will attend the Ride on June 2nd the one going to Strawberry Resivoir.
I did get to drive it up and down the street the other day to get the brakes burnished. It was fun. It didn't take long to get used to the heel toe shifter. I did notice the gearing to be low and close. I can't imagine a situation where I would even drop it into low range unless I really wanted to crawl along. I think in first gear low range this thing would idle up the steepest of hills. I can't wait to get out and try it.

Congrats again! Your situation is just the one my soon to be wife and I always talk about. I'm going to be coaching in the 4th quarter of the state 5A football game up by 3 with 2:30 left and they are going to page me at Texas Stadium that my wife is in labor and I need to leave. I tell her she'll have to hold it and she gets mad and says "If I say jump you say How high!" It is funny to see it happen to someone else. Best of luck to both of you and your family!
