Where can I find a good deal on ramps?
#2
Hey Dryfly, caught any big ones lately? Just got back from checking out the salmon run up in Stanley. Nice to finally see the numbers are up!! Anyway, you can find some good deals at Rockymountainatv.com. Just click on "catalog" and then "loading ramps". They have the Fulton tri-fold, and the oxlite bi-fold like I own for around $110. Good luck

Heya, actually I am getting a little antsy to get out on the rivers... the salmon run is HUGE this year and they are expecting like 150,000 to make it all the way up the Snake to Lewiston...I guess they have 500,000 counted on the lower snake already...gonna have a good year with them.
Albeit the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene does not open until Memorial Day weekend, so I am just tying up some nice emergers and drakes for the hatches I am seeing already, should be a decent year for Cutthroats again... I took the Rancher over to the river last weekend and scouted some bugs to see what they were eating..looks like Dollys are surfacing too. Man, I'm killin myself here...gotta go touch some fishing gear./...

Have you thought about a ramp kit? I just did mine yesterdasy and am very happy with them. I bought the kit at Walmart for less than $20 and then got 2 2x8, 6 feet long boards for $7.00. The kit from Wally world is pretty nice as the plates you bolt to the wood is rubber coated so it wont slip or scratch your tailgate. It also has a loop on the bottom of the ramp to secure the ramp to the tailgate so it wont go out from under the quad. For $27.00 I dont think you could go wrong with this setup. Good luck.

I picked up a set at Harbor Freight tools. They are 6' long & made of Galvanized steel with a non slip surface. Rated at 1000 # I think. I only paid $49 for the pair but they were on sale. I think regular price was $75 - $80. I'm not sure if they are in their web page. www.harborfreighttools.com I think thats the link any way.
