anyone have one of theese thing or have seen one on a quad are they very loud. and do they give you any power. What is the spark Arrestor what does it do the pipe that has one is 275.99. And for one that dosen't have one is 213.99. this is in dennis kirk thanks for any help.

 

Haven't heard the Big "O" on a quad yet. I can tell you that other DG exhausts are very loud. I had a friend with one on his Lakota, and it could be heard about a mile or two from our riding area. Some exhausts are loud, but a good, throaty loud. The DG exhausts I've heard are annoyingly loud. I don't think that they really give a good power increase either.

What kind of quad do you have? I'm guessing, but I figure it is a 300EX or 400EX. Anyway, I'd look for another kind of exhaust. For that price, you can probably get a good silencer for your quad. Good luck.

 

I have a 2001 Lakota do you know what kind that your friend had on his.I was going to get whitebros, or fmf,big gun but the only pipe i can find is D&G and Supertrapp.do you know what the spark arrestor is and what it does.

 

A spark arrester is a thing inside of an exhaust pipe that traps any hot sparks or flames from coming out of the exhaust. Many riding area's require them due to the fire risk.

 

My friend's exhaust was the DG RCM if I'm not mistaken. I don't know much about Supertrapp, but do some research before you buy, and you'll probably be happy with your future purchase. Good luck.

I am the friend of wcy2k400exs. I had the pipe on my old Lakota. It was the RCM Alloy Series. It was annoyingly loud, and didn't give a good power increase. I would get the Supertrapp IDS2 if i were you. Get the spark arrestor too. If you ride on public land, youll need it.

 

We ride the Western part of KY. Mostly on local trails and MX tracks.
