Rubi?
#1
I have been looking at the Arctic Cat 500 and the Honda Rubi.
Went to look at both today..... YOW> The Rubi is like a Cadilac.
Honestly? The Rubi wins hands down, but it also costs alot more too. (you get what you pay for?)
AC is a great ATV for the price.
Both dealers knew their stuff and I was impressed by both of em. When I went to each dealer, I wanted to buy it right then. (had a bad experience with another honda dealer)
Anyways.....
Getting to the point.
I'm calling monday to get the ball rolling, but I was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of before I do.
And is there any issues with the Rubi? Like back brakes, starter, etc..(not likely that it will change my mind)
Thanks

oneidgoof,
Congratulations on your decision to buy a Rubicon. After months of looking, I picked up my green Rubicon last Friday. I didn't do anything constructive around the house this weekend. . . All I wanted to do was ride!
I am surprised that the AC is much cheaper than the Rubi. In Montana, they were nearly the same price for the 2001 models. I paid $6349 out the door for my Rubi after applying the $300 Honda Bucks discount. I have heard of prices as low as $6000 out the door in other states. It's definitely worth shopping around.
Good luck on your purchase. You won't go wrong with the Rubicon.

It really depends on your terrain. We ride in a ton of water and the brakes on a Rubicon stink after riding in water like we do. All Honda's are that way though. The AC has discs and they do better in water.
Both are great quads.
