My friend had a major crash on his Trail Boss yesterday. He went up high on a bank we use as a banked turn on a long down hill and instead of sliding around he didn't hit it hard enough and it caught and flipped. It went over him and flipped 3 times sideways. Then to add insult to injury, it hit a rock on the handlebars which crimped the throttle cable so after it gets to the bottom of the hill it starts to come back up and run over him!! Fortuneately he was able to get out of the way. The brake lever was completely gone the handlebars and steering stem are bent and of course the throttle cable is ruined too. (He slid down the hill, which is gravel, on his back after slamming down on his head and face. Thank God for full face helmets!)

My question is, is there anyone that makes a metal replacement brake handle for a 2001 model Polaris? Or is ther only the plastic OEM available? Would the throttle cable be only OEM as well? We are going to try to straighten the bars and steering stem. Any ideas on what the cable would cost? Thanks for any help! BK
