Great pictures. Nice rancher. Do you need any performance mods to turn those tires?
Is the rancher much sportier than the 450 or 400? If you weren't towing anything or mounting huge mud tires would you chose the rancher over those two? I also notice two people on it in one of the photos - how does it handle 2 up riding?
Thanks.

HomerS: Thanks, the Rancher is a fun quad. I picked it because my dad and I run a atv tour and we already had a 2502wd, 300 4x4, 400 4x4, and a Rubicon was on it's way. So I figured for my personal riding I would get a sportier quad than the 400 or 450 and go with the Rancher. So if your playing or just off roading the Rancher is the best in my opinion other than the Ruby. However there is a noticable difference in Pulling power between it and the 400/450 Hondas. As for the tires there is hill I use to climb with the Rancher in 2nd gear and hardly made it. With the Outlaws on it, it still makes it (they are 25"x9.50x12 all the way around) but I must hit it perfect. So power loss was really only noticable in hilly sections or in 5th gear where i lost 2mph. So i have on order a power kit for it. Will regain power plus a bit more than stock I expect. 2up stock was never a problem and still really not a problem either. I really am only gettting the power kit for more wheel spin in the soup
So if you were to leave it in stock form, the Rancher is by far the best performer of the 400/450 quads from Honda. However if your putting anything over 26"tires on them go with the 400/450. They will handle larger tires with less engine mods in the long run. If I can be of any more help let me know, HEAH, add some pics on my site if you want under MEMBER PHOTOS. Trying to get a huge collection of pics of everyones quads.
Later,
Scott
