I want to clean the oil screen located inside the oil fitting on the 400 ex oil tank. My dealer mentioned that it was there, and should be cleaned. If anyone has done this procedure before and could bive me some advice I would really appreciate it.

Unhook the oil line at the bottom of the oil tank. I can't reminber when I did mine if the filter then come out or if you need to unscrew it to get it out. When out clean it with gas or card cleaner and put back together like it came out. Very easy to do.

 

The metal screen-type filter unscrews from the oil line fitting that is visible at the bottom of the oil reservoir.
After taking the filter loose from the oil line, I simply flushed it with a water hose.
