Well, I have recently gotten a Scrambler 500 4x4 and I would have to say that they are pretty fast, but they are not a racing bike.

First they are heavy and do not handle as well as bikes like the Honda 400 EX. Second they are not really designed to race. They are a cross between a Sport and a Utility bike. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent for trail riding, are fast, and are fun to ride, but they are not the fastest bike out there.

Try checking into the Yamaha Raptor, Banshee, or Honda 400 EX if you want a bike with a lot of Mods available and a really, really fast bike. P.S. you might look into more life insurance if you get a Raptor, I hear they will wheelie at 40 mph and top out at 75 mph.

Drop the Chalupa....don't believe everything you hear. The Raptor is much more tame than I expected it to be. It still is amazing but a bit less than the hype.

Xplor,
your right. I think Yamaha has one heck of an advertising & 'pr' team.
It isn't the Raptor's motor that makes it wheelie, it's that teeny frame.
