Who makes that battery for the 400ex with more cca's, and about how much do thay cost

 

Does anybody know or should I just go get a new one

 

There is a Yuasa battery with more cca that is supposed to be the same size as the stock battery. Its part# YT12A-BS, I went through a Honda dealership and paid about $85. I had it special ordered a week ago but haven't seen it yet. You can go to Yuasa web site and look up a chart that lists all their batteries and what their specifications are. On that chart they list the stock battery and the YT12A-BS as haveing the same post configuration and same size housing.
