Anyone have any info an a 1986 atc350x ,like suspension,hop up parts ,and top speed? I just picked up a stock 86 in good running condion for 400$ .I took it for a ride and it seemed pretty fast.All it needs is plastics,paint and tires.I'm also looking to get alot of horsepower out of it,does anyone make a bigbore or stroker kit for it? in there is a guy with the same motor in a 250x frame or 250r frame........can't remeber.....putting out 500cc.........xr500 head

no reason why you can't do the same motor mods

stock is 22hp.........start with bigger carb?.....31mm std

suspension?....its not pro-link.......could be something worth exploring

do the usual......uni filter....mainjet....14 tooth front sprocket......pipe

there used to be a 400cc kit round.......dunno if ya can still get it

remeber bigger CC won't make this hard to start motor any easier to kick over........

i have an 86 350x....bone stock....shes a nice machine.....stock she should be right there with a 400ex on the track, with the right rider......shes the most fun i've had on the track!.....but you guys can't race em in the states can you ?

Powroll still makes stroker & big bore kits for the 350x motor. I think up to around 500cc. Top speed on my '86 is 72mph, but it's stock. The suspension is already in pretty good shape, but by now it's probably ready to get some new shock oil & seals. I've heard of reliability problems w/ the stroker. If you get the big bore kit I hope you are strong b/c it will be hard to kick over. That's a screamin' deal for a 350x, btw.
