I just bought a R.I.S. Designs aluminum gas cap to dress up my DS650. I does mot have a gasket in it. When I brought this to the attention of the dealer he said R.I.S. said take out the stock one and uses it. For $60.00 it should have one. Anybody has any ides on have to make a gas cap gasket and how to bond it to aluminum.

Not sure how to get the gasket to work, but since you live down south that way, have you checked with Team Alba? They sell a Billet Gas cap for the DS650 and many other models as well. On second thought, maybe thats the one you have, or it could be that they both coincidentally cost $60/ea.

Thanks for the heads up - now everyone knows where NOT to get a Billet Gas cap... The question then becomes, does anyone make a good one that seals properly? In my humble opinion, changing something like a GAS CAP should be a NO BRAINER! You should be able to:

1. Unscrew old gas cap.
2. Screw new gas cap on.
3. Admire your hard work and the new look.
4. Ride ATV without gasoline spillage.

Seems to me thats the way it should go. So does anyone else know of a gas cap that works the way it is supposed to?
I think a Billet Gas Cap, is one of those trivial things that could really round out the look of an ATV that has alot of Billet parts.

Home Depot to the rescue for 99 cents you can get a 2-1/4 inch rubber washer from the plumbing section that fit perfect. R.I.S. get off your ### and get some it only cost me 99 cents you should be able to get them for 60 cents wholesale
