The other day we were cleaning our bikes..My bike wouldn't start up. After close inspection we noticed that the carb fell out of the boot. I did notice the bike was running real funny..it was popping and stuff like that and wasn't running good at all. i thought it was the gasket around the slip on that we forgot to replace so i just tightened her up all the way. No i feel like a jerk cause that wasn't the probelm it was the carb and probably a combination of the two that made her run like crap. Anyway i finished riding that day not realizing the carb was out of the boot. Do you think i did a lot of damage by running her like that? Geeze i hope not..has this happened to anyone else???????? SOMEBODY !!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!

I'd take it off and look for any little signs of dirt or crud in there, If you see any I suggest you take it apart and clean it.

If you are really worried about this but don't want to split your cases just yet you may try sending a sample of your oil to a lab to have it analyzed. This will give you information about any excess wear that may have occurred based on the amount of engine wear metals present in the oil.
