Never been around an Xplorer modded that hot. I am positive it would completely blow away a stock Scrambler. The Xplorer has about 35 HP, the scrambler, about 38, possibly 40 at the most (the engine is the same as the Xplorer, just with a higher performance pipe). I sure would think the extra HP up to 60 would more than overcome the heavier weight of the Xplorer.
Be sure to go all the way with a clutch kit to be able to utilize the extra power.

All stock 400L engines are the same! Period. The only difference between the Utility version and the scramblers is the charging system. Utility versions have a 200 watt alternator for keeping up with winches and night lites, wereas the scramblers and sports onlyhave a 150 watt alternator. This could be what give the scrambler a little more horsepower onto the ground. Plus the Xplorer is a heavier machine with larger tires than the scrambler.

I have seen a few guys with some sweet explorers. Yes you will have no problems blowing away any stock scrambler.
As for Hot Seat yes they make good stuff, but I always caution those lookong at Hot Seat for there 250 Trailblazers or 400 Explorers due to the fact that there pipe and silensers are one solid welded unit.
Last I checked they are not spark arrested with out the addition of a add-on UGLY sparky spark arrestor hanging off the end.
The other problem is they are loud, and nothing you are going to do about it because you can't change it.
At least with AAEN or RCR there pipe and silencer are separate and you can put on a silencer that may fit your changing needs. Noise resrictions are getting all to common and I would hate to see your money for that new stuff go too waste because your favorite riding area says you are TOO LOUD.
Just My 2 Cents

Isn't Walexa's an explorer? The local shop had a rash of trans chain failures on the modded 4x4's. Not sure if that's been updated, but might be an area to watch. Like I said, I think Walexa is the pro in this department...Pm him, smart, helpful person.
