I have been to WNF once this year and really liked it that place is huge it was the one in nelsonvill we rode the purdum trail and some other trails that i cant remeber the name of but it was awesome we found these mud holes they where right off the purdum trail they where big i dont know what they where made by but it was fun i ride a 99 sportsman 500 with 26" outlaws on chrome itp steel wheels i was playing in the mud with a 2001 kodiak with 27" mud bugs and then we rode the purdum trail up a big hill with some huge rocks at the top and when we came down the hill we come out on to this road and went a little ways down the road and went left rode threw some of those trails seen these dirt bikes climb the steepest hill i ever seen this hill lipped out at the top i dont know how they do it on the dirt bikes but is a mean looking hill. I was really wondering if anybody had some type of map it its hard to find your way threw those trails with out a map. thanks for the info.

Wayne is a great place. I'm going down there this weekend with a group of about 15 riders. We always stay at CampOhio, it's the nicest campground around that area.
It sounds like you were on the Snake Hollow loop. If you stay on the designated trails, they are clearly marked with reflectors. Stay with the same color, and you'll never get lost.
I believe you can do a search on the web for Wayne National Forest, and come up with some decent maps.

The maps that they put out in the beginning of the year are pretty bad. They are very vague. I have heard rumors that with the money last year that they collected from atv riders, horses, etc that they were going to update the maps and put out new ones. I haven't seen them yet but they also didn't expect that someone would steal their small caterpillar either. Maybe that is where that extra money is going now.
I ride there almost every weekend and put out at the first campsite at the door run loop. I look forward to seeing you there.

CampOhio is a great place. It costs $7 a nite to camp. It is flat, with plenty of shade trees. There are electric hookups at each site. There are decent toilet facilities, and decent showers. The owner will even deliver firewood to your site while you are out riding. They are supposed to have a trailhead to the campground this year. If not, it is about a one minute ride to the trails by road. It is off of 595 on Gore/Greenland road.
Hillsville is now closed, thanks to pigs leaving mounds of trash everywhere.

We stayed at the TOXIC WASTE DUMP.... I think it was called williams camp just down the road at the trail head.. Do not stay there the showers and restrooms are what my daughter and son call not fit for human or animal use. Like I say we now refur to it as the toxic waste dump. Wayne has great trails and there a a few other trails we went to and they were what I call very challenging even for me who has riden dirtbikes and 4 wheelers for a long long long long time.... good luck see you at wayne.

have you guys ever been to Hitchens? It's in Grayson,Ky. It is a really good place to ride also. There are some pretty big mudholes and a lot of steep hills to climb. You should go there sometime. We have been wanting to go the WNF but we didn't know whether it would be any good or not.
