I just got done racing sunday wiht my new team pami cdi box. The rev limiter is completly removed. I raced 2 motos with this box and i like it alot. I even missed gear and hit "false nutral" a few times, no problems at all. Powerwise there is not a noticable increase. In corners however, the extra rev helps alot. I was pushing twice as hard as the last race through the corners. The last time i raced this track, i had the stock rev limiter (3 weeks ago) and the second moto i placed 10th (best on the day). Yesterday wiht the cdi, i didnt have to worry about shifting in the apex of the corners and i pulled off an 8th place. Now I just have to learn to ride the damn thing . At first i worried about missing gears and floating the valves but neither time did it even cut out when i missed gear. So in total i'm happy so far with this rev box, it takes advantage of the exta horspower from the pipe and filter.

Hey thanks 300exster, I'm about where you were, with a K&N and a "custom" end cap. Since just these mods make the DS rev so much quicker I have been thinking hard about this CDI box. Did you get it from Knutz? I've been staying away from the rev limit and so far so good, but it would be nice to have those extra rpm. I think with the K&N and any kind of pipe, that upper rpm is there, to spare. Keep us posted. Hey, how hard was it to put in?

Fourlix sorry its taken so long for me to reply, i'v been doing alot of riding and working. I need to learn alot before my next race . Anyway, the CDI is from Knutz yes. Its great when you are in a corner and just want a few extra rpm to rev then shift OUT of the corner instead of IN the corner. INstalationwise, you just take 2 bolts out of the stock cdi and pull the plug (plugs kinda hard to get at) and then plug the other one in. Probably takes a fast person under 10 minuites to install. I am starting to belive the ds is safe to rev up until about 8500 rpm becuse it just feels good, but i dont know how high the ds is capable of reving until floating of the valves. I'd say fourlix if your going to get some more things for your ds like pipe/filter..then put them all one at 1 time. Pipe/filter/cdi, you'd notice the most differnce and maybe you'd be alittle happyer haha. Have a good one buddy
