I was reading thru the specs on the new griz and noticed it uses a singl 42mm carb. It is a raptor topend so coudnt you use the intake on the raptor? I bet you could. I bet the griz intake if ordered would be cheaper then ordering an intake from some aftermarket place. I wonder why in the heck they would want to put it on the new griz? I would think they would have stayed with the twin carbs for the most torque but evidentally the wanted lots of power. This thing is going to fly for a 4x4 dont yah think?

 

That's the same thing that I was wondering. I agree, it should be a real screamer. What kind of release dates are people hearing?

I was wondering about that very thing this morning. I'd be willing to bet that it does fit. Yamaha has us figured out now, or so it seems. They are producing all kind of aftermarket goodies and I'd almost bet that when this new intake was designed, someone at Yamaha had to at least wonder if it would fit before final production. If it does, it's either just chance or actually Yamaha continuing to give us the little goodies that we want.

 

I contacted my dealer and he has his first new griz's on order. one should be here early july. He said until he gets his first griz he cant get me an intake. Darn. well guess we got a month wait.

 

The Grizzly 660 has a new head with redesigned intake ports so the intake manifolds will not work on the Raptor.
