is my 2nd gear taking a dump?

just got back from the dunes in idaho.third day there i noticed my raptor was making a ratching noise from the chain or gear box, only does it under power in 2nd and feels like the chain is jumping.i adjusted the chain and everthing external looks good.also noticed that my sprocket holder was loose on the axel, you can grab it and move it back and forth, same with the disc brake holder, tighting the axel only cured it for one ride, seems like the splines are wearing out, anyone know if yamaha has a cure for this?by the way i own number 2032. Same problem here. See my post titled "Is this a common rear axle problem on the Raptor". I will send the thread to you via e-mail.
I am also calling the dealer (HondaEast) where I purchased my Raptor to see if I get any further. I bought it in Bear, Delaware so I wouldn't have to pay tax. The dealer I took it to hoping for warranty repair work is in Baltimore, MD. I will let you know how I do.

The reason for the axle splines going to heck is they are not tight from factory. mine was that way when i got mine so i tightened it up. Acouple guys i know listened to the dealer and left it lose. Their splines also have taken a dump. If the dealer doesnt cover the axle and you would like it widerpick up a cheap stock shee axle off of ebay. Can get one for 50-$75. All you need to do is put on some spacers on the outside of the sprocket hub to adjust for the 1/4in offset. Goodluck and i hope i have helped.
